Indigenous Medicinal Plants Workshop

May 25 @ 1:00 pm 3:00 pm Pacific Time (PT)

Join DIGA for an engaging workshop exploring wild, native, and medicinal plants with LoriAnn Bird.

Through storytelling and hands-on sensory experiences, participants will explore connections between people and plants. Selected plants will be available to sample during the session, and participants will receive a two-page illustrated mind map to take home.

An optional group gathering will follow the workshop.

LoriAnn’s book, Revered Roots: Ancestral Teachings and Wisdom of Wild, Edible, and Medicinal Plants, will also be available for purchase during the event ($30 by cash or e-transfer).

Staff, volunteers, and clients are part of a team and expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner. This means that physical harm, verbal or written abuse, harassment of any kind, and any bullying behaviour will not be tolerated. Anyone found to have committed conduct prohibited by the societies is subject to disciplinary actions as deemed fit by the Executive Director, up to and including removal from the programs.
